If any song best represents the title of this album, its this one - AD 3015. Before I recorded this album, there was an earlier, horrible, depressing, money-sucking and abandoned attempt at recording early in 2016. I met up and started working with a producer who was, in hindsight, the worst possible match for me and my music. Each session was a disaster and I left the studio each time depressed beyond words. One of the songs I attempted to record at that time was this one. Back then it was a kind of surf rock song which I liked to think of as Chris Isaak on acid. Anyway, the recording of the song was a disaster and I returned home defiantly one day to try and resurrect it. The result was a slower, moodier song, and this was the first song I started tinkering with keyboard loops on, which added an apocalyptic vibe. This song ended up restoring some lost confidence and it will forever be my "fuck you" to the producer I worked with earlier in the year.
Ironically this was also the song that pushed me in new directions which I might never had gone in if my earlier recording sessions had not turned out so disastrously. So, now I look back upon those earlier, horrible and depressing recording sessions and recognise them for what they were - Blessings In Extremely Convincing Disguise....
